Behind The Frame
A Turrell Immersive Experience

Student Project : Exhibition Catalog & Applications

This project centered around designing an exhibition catalogue that highlights an artist and their body of work, followed by creating a cohesive set of application assets that extend the visual identity of the exhibition. For my project, I chose to focus on renowned light and space artist James Turrell, whose immersive installations challenge perceptions of space, light, and presence. I titled the catalogue Behind The Frame | A Turrell Immersive Experience, envisioning it as a multisensory exhibition hosted at the New Museum in New York City. The catalogue explores Turrell’s key works, conceptual influences, and spatial explorations, while the accompanying application assets—including a responsive webpage, merchandise, and environmental graphics—are designed to reflect the ethereal, meditative quality of his installations and to extend the exhibition experience beyond the gallery space.
